Eicom, Irelands largest broadband provider with over 750,000 subscribers, will start to indentify and punish illegal file sharers from this month. In an out of court settlement deal reached with EMI Records, Ors and the Irish Recorded Music Industry (IRMA), Eircom will identify customers who have infringed copyright by downloading files from the Internet.
